Returns Policy

Stuart Rogers   20 May 2026

This Returns Policy explains your options when you want to return goods to CueWorld Pty Ltd (ACN 675 794 724 / ABN 27 675 794 724). It covers two different situations:

6. Change of mind returns — a goodwill policy we offer.

7. Australian Consumer Law returns — your statutory rights where goods are faulty, unsafe, don't match their description, or are otherwise not of acceptable quality.

Important. Nothing in this policy excludes, restricts or modifies your rights under the Australian Consumer Law (Schedule 2 of the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth)).

1. Your rights under the Australian Consumer Law

Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and to compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.

A major failure is, for example, when:

  • the goods are unsafe;
  • the goods are significantly different from the description, sample or demonstration model;
  • the goods do not do what we said they would, or what you asked for, and can't easily be fixed within a reasonable time; or
  • you would not have bought the goods if you had known about the problem.

For a minor failure (e.g., a minor manufacturing defect), we may choose to repair, replace or refund the item within a reasonable time.

Where the ACL applies:

  • You can claim within a reasonable time of discovering the issue — not limited to any 5-day, 30-day or 12-month window.
  • You are entitled to a refund or replacement (your choice for major failures), not just store credit.
  • We pay the cost of return shipping for ACL claims (we will arrange collection or reimburse postage on production of a receipt).
  • The condition of the original packaging does not affect your ACL rights.

To make an ACL claim, email enquiries@cueworld.com.au with your order number, a description of the issue, and photos if relevant. We will respond within 2 business days.

2. Change of mind returns (our goodwill policy)

If you have simply changed your mind, we offer the following goodwill return policy. This is in addition to (and does not replace) your ACL rights.

Question Answer
What can be returned? Most products. Cues must be returned un-chalked. Bulky goods (pool tables, furniture items, slate items) are not eligible for change-of-mind returns because of the cost of safe transport. Custom-made, engraved or personalised items are also not eligible.
When? Within 14 days of the delivery date.
Condition? Items must be unused, in original condition, and in original packaging with all accessories and documentation.
Where? CueWorld Pty Ltd, P.O. Box 159, Hallidays Point NSW 2430 (please contact us first to receive a Returns Reference Number).
Shipping? You pay the return shipping cost. Original outbound shipping charges are not refundable.
Refund or credit? For change-of-mind returns we issue store credit valid for 12 months. If you would prefer a refund to your original payment method, contact us and we will consider this on a case-by-case basis.

3. How to initiate a return

8. Email enquiries@cueworld.com.au with: your order number, a brief description of the reason for return (change of mind, or describe the fault), and photos if the goods are faulty.

9. We will respond within 2 business days with a Returns Reference Number and shipping instructions.

10. Pack the item securely (in original packaging where possible) and include the Returns Reference Number on the outside of the parcel.

11. We recommend using a tracked shipping service for change-of-mind returns. Risk of loss in transit for change-of-mind returns sits with you until we receive the goods.

12. Once we receive and inspect the goods, we will process the refund, replacement or store credit within 5 business days.

4. Damaged or lost in transit

If your order arrives damaged, or does not arrive at all, contact us within a reasonable time at enquiries@cueworld.com.au. Risk of loss or damage to goods in transit before delivery remains with CueWorld Pty Ltd, and we will work with you and the carrier to resolve the issue. Your rights under the Australian Consumer Law apply.

Privacy Policy

CueWorld Pty Ltd (ACN 675 794 724 / ABN 27 675 794 724) ("CueWorld", "we", "us", "our") respects your privacy and is committed to handling your personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth), the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs), the Notifiable Data Breaches scheme (Part IIIC of the Privacy Act), and the Spam Act 2003 (Cth).

This policy explains how we collect, use, store, disclose and protect personal information when you use our website at cueworld.com.au or otherwise interact with us. By using our website or providing us with personal information, you agree to the handling of your personal information in accordance with this policy.

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be notified by posting on this page and, where practicable, by email to registered customers. The "Last updated" date at the top shows when this policy was last revised.

1. What information we collect

We may collect the following kinds of personal information:

  • Identity and contact information — name, job title (where relevant), email address, postal/delivery address, phone number.
  • Account information — username, password (stored as a salted hash), purchase history, preferences and saved items.
  • Transaction information — billing address, order details, and payment confirmation (we do NOT store your full credit card number — see section 5).
  • Demographic information — postcode, age range (where supplied), interests and preferences relevant to product recommendations.
  • Survey, feedback and marketing information — responses to surveys, customer feedback, and marketing preferences.
  • Technical information — IP address, browser type, device identifiers, pages visited, referring site, and timestamps (collected via cookies and analytics tools, see section 6).

We collect this information directly from you when you create an account, place an order, contact us, subscribe to marketing, or participate in a survey. Where information is collected from third parties (for example, fraud-check services or social log-in providers), we will tell you at the time of collection.

We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18 without the consent of a parent or guardian.

2. Why we collect it and what we do with it

We collect and use personal information for the following primary purposes:

  • to set up and manage your customer account;
  • to process orders, payments, refunds and returns;
  • to deliver goods to you and communicate about your orders;
  • to provide customer support and respond to your enquiries;
  • to improve our products, services and website (including by reviewing aggregated analytics);
  • to comply with our legal obligations (including tax, accounting and consumer protection law);
  • to detect, investigate and prevent fraud or other unlawful activity;
  • with your consent, to send you marketing about our own products, special offers and events;
  • with your consent, to invite you to participate in market research; and
  • where you have specifically opted in, to share offers from carefully selected third parties.

We rely on your consent for direct marketing under the Spam Act 2003 (Cth). You can withdraw consent at any time using the unsubscribe link in any marketing email or by emailing us at enquiries@cueworld.com.au.

3. Disclosure and overseas transfers

We may disclose your personal information to:

  • Service providers acting on our behalf — including our e-commerce platform provider (Neto by Maropost), payment processor (Stripe), shipping carriers (Australia Post and others), email and marketing platforms, and IT support providers;
  • Government bodies or regulators where required or authorised by law (for example, in response to a lawful request from the police, the ACCC or the OAIC); and
  • Professional advisers such as our lawyers, accountants and auditors, under appropriate confidentiality obligations.

Some of these service providers may store or process information in countries other than Australia, including the United States (Stripe). Our e-commerce platform Neto by Maropost is operated by Maropost Inc., a Canadian-headquartered company with Australian operations; data processed via our store may be handled across Maropost's regional infrastructure. Where personal information is sent overseas, we take reasonable steps to ensure the recipient handles it in accordance with the APPs.

You can read more about how our key processors handle your data here: Stripe — https://stripe.com/privacy ; Maropost — https://www.maropost.com/privacy-policy/.

We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

4. Automated decision-making

We do not use solely automated decision-making to make decisions about you that have a legal or similarly significant effect. Where we use automated tools (for example, fraud-check filtering at checkout), a human reviews the outcome before any action is taken that materially affects your order.

5. Payment information

We use Stripe to process payments. Card details are entered into Stripe's secure payment fields and transmitted directly to Stripe — they do not pass through or get stored on our servers. Stripe collects identifying information about the devices that connect to its services and uses that information to operate and improve its services, including for fraud detection. You can read Stripe's privacy policy at https://stripe.com/privacy.

We retain transaction records (without full card numbers) for the period required by Australian tax and consumer protection law (generally seven years).

6. Cookies and tracking

A cookie is a small file placed on your device when you visit a website. We use cookies for:

  • Essential / functional purposes — keeping you logged in, remembering items in your cart, and securing your session. These cookies are necessary for the website to function.
  • Analytics — understanding how visitors use the site (e.g., Google Analytics) so we can improve content and performance. We use IP-masking where available.
  • Marketing — measuring the effectiveness of advertising campaigns and, where you have consented, showing you relevant offers.

You can accept, refuse or delete cookies through your browser settings. Refusing some cookies may prevent parts of the site from working as intended.

7. Links to other websites

Our website may contain links to other websites. Once you leave our site, this policy no longer applies. We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of third-party websites. We encourage you to review the privacy statement on any other site you visit.

8. Security and data retention

We take reasonable steps to protect personal information from misuse, interference, loss, unauthorised access, modification and disclosure. Our security measures are summarised in our separate Security Policy.

We keep personal information only for as long as we need it for the purposes described in this policy, or for as long as required by law (whichever is longer). When information is no longer required, we destroy or de-identify it.

9. Notifiable Data Breaches

We comply with the Notifiable Data Breaches scheme under Part IIIC of the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth). If we experience an eligible data breach that is likely to result in serious harm to you, we will notify you and the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) as soon as practicable.

10. Accessing and correcting your information

Under APPs 12 and 13, you have the right to:

  • request access to the personal information we hold about you; and
  • request that we correct any information that is inaccurate, out of date, incomplete, irrelevant or misleading.

To make a request, email us at enquiries@cueworld.com.au. We will respond within a reasonable time (usually within 30 days). There is no charge to access your information, though in some circumstances a reasonable cost-recovery fee may apply for very large requests.

11. Controlling marketing

You can opt out of direct marketing at any time by:

  • clicking the unsubscribe link at the bottom of any marketing email;
  • updating your communication preferences in your account; or
  • emailing enquiries@cueworld.com.au.

We will action opt-outs as quickly as practicable. Opting out of marketing does not stop us from sending you transactional messages (e.g., order confirmations).

12. Complaints

If you believe we have breached the APPs or mishandled your personal information, please email enquiries@cueworld.com.au with details. We will respond within 5 business days and aim to resolve any complaint within 30 days.

If you are not satisfied with our response, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC):

  • Phone: 1300 363 992
  • Website: https://www.oaic.gov.au
